Common Questions

How should I prepare for my spray tan appointment?

Please visit our Prep page for detailed instructions.

What is the difference between Standard and Express tans?

The main difference is your rinse time. Both solutions offer the same color results and longevity. With a Standard solution, you will need to rinse in 8-12 hours. With an Express solution, you will need to rinse in 2-4 hours depending on the darkness level you would like to achieve. Please note: With an Express tan, your color will not be very visible post-rinse and will continue to develop and darken over the next 24 hours.

Will the spray tan solution stain my clothes or sheets?

Our tanning solution contains a temporary cosmetic bronzer that gives instant color - it may lightly transfer to clothing or bedding before your first rinse. Don’t worry! It typically washes out of most fabrics easily. We recommend wearing dark, loose-fitting clothing and using older sheets the night of your tan to be safe.

What do I wear during the appointment?

Clients are welcome to wear as little or as much as you are comfortable with during the appointment. Be mindful of tan lines especially for big events. You will always be offered complimentary disposable items (hair caps, disposable thong and bra, nipple pasties, nose filters) if you would like minimal lines and to keep your own items free of tanning solution. Note: Males of any age and girls under the age of 18 are required to wear undergarments during their appointment. No exceptions.

What should I wear to my appointment?

We recommend dark, loose-fitting clothing and open-toe shoes after your spray tan. Avoid anything tight (like leggings or sports bras) that could rub against your fresh tan while it develops.

How long does a spray tan appointment take?

Your custom airbrush session typically takes about 20–30 minutes from start to finish, including your consultation, color customization, and drying time.

Will I feel sticky after my spray tan?

No! We make sure to thoroughly dry and set your spray tan with a professional spray tan setting powder - so you’ll leave feeling comfortable, fresh, and confident, not sticky.

Will I turn orange?

No - while this is a common question, your tan will look natural, never orange. We use premium, professional-grade tanning solutions formulated to match your skin tone and undertone. Each airbrush tan is custom-blended and expertly applied to ensure a golden, natural-looking glow every time.

How many days in advance should I schedule my appointment?

We recommend booking your appointment two days prior to any big events (wedding, photoshoots, etc) and one day prior to leaving on vacation.

How long will my spray tan last?

Most spray tans last 5–10 days. It varies depending on your prep and after care. Our Endurance tan is formulated to last longer and holds up well if sweating in warm climates or in water for longer periods of time. Using a gentle, sulfate-free body wash and daily moisturizer helps extend your tan even longer.

Can I shower after my spray tan?

Yes - but timing matters. If you choose our rapid rinse formula, you can shower in as little as 2–4 hours. Standard solutions require 8–12 hours before rinsing. We’ll walk you through exact timing during your appointment.

Can I get a spray tan if I’m getting married or attending an event?

Yes! We specialize in bridal spray tans and event tans. We recommend scheduling a trial tan 2–3 weeks before your big day, then your final tan 2–3 days before the event for your ideal color.

Is spray tanning safe for expectant or nursing mothers?

Generally yes, but we advise our clients to consult with their physician. We offer disposable nose filters and nipple pasties in the studio for expectant/nursing mothers.

How does payment work?
